Skeptic & Psychology Writer
I do not think the universe is texting anyone. I kept seeing 333 anyway, enough that I finally read the research on why brains do this, and the answer turned out to be more interesting than the myth. I write the skeptic's column here: frequency illusion, selective attention, and why a number starts following you around once you tag it as important. None of that ruins the moment for me. A coincidence is still a decent excuse to notice what you were thinking.
